What’s in the GCSE Triple Science courses?
Triple Science, also known as Separate Sciences, means studying Biology, Chemistry and Physics as three separate GCSEs 🔬
Up Learn offers a separate course for each science:
🌱 GCSE Triple Science: Biology
🧪 GCSE Triple Science: Chemistry
⚛️ GCSE Triple Science: Physics
Each course is purchased separately. To access the full content you need for the Triple Science specification, you'll need to purchase all three courses.
Together, the three courses cover the full AQA GCSE Triple Science specification.
What does each course cover?
Together, the three courses will cover everything you need to know for your exams. They are covered over six papers.
The six papers are:
🌱 Biology Paper 1 and Biology Paper 2
🧪 Chemistry Paper 1 and Chemistry Paper 2
⚛️ Physics Paper 1 and Physics Paper 2
The Biology course
The Biology course covers everything you need for both Biology exam papers.
🌱 Biology Paper 1: Cell Biology; Organisation; Infection and response; and Bioenergetics.
🧬 Biology Paper 2: Homeostasis and response; Inheritance, variation and evolution; and Ecology.
The Chemistry course
The Chemistry course covers everything you need for both Chemistry exam papers.
⚛️ Chemistry Paper 1: Atomic structure and the periodic table; Bonding, structure, and the properties of matter; Quantitative chemistry; Chemical changes; and Energy changes.
🧪 Chemistry Paper 2: The rate and extent of chemical change; Organic chemistry; Chemical analysis; Chemistry of the atmosphere; and Using resources.
Questions in Paper 2 may also draw on fundamental concepts and principles from earlier parts of the specification.
The Physics course
The Physics course covers everything you need for both Physics exam papers.
💡 Physics Paper 1: Energy; Electricity; Particle model of matter; and Atomic structure.
🧲 Physics Paper 2: Forces; Waves; and Magnetism and electromagnetism.
What’s in each course?
📝 Section quizzes: Check what you already know, identify areas to improve and skip lessons on topics you already understand.
📹 Video lessons: Interactive videos with embedded quizzes that explain each topic in detail.
❓ Quiz lessons: Quizzes that help fill gaps in your knowledge, starting easy and gradually getting harder.
💪 Progress quizzes: Additional practice on content covered in each section.
📸 Summaries: An overview of the concepts covered in each section.
NOTE: Content is still being added to the Chemistry and Physics courses 🛠️ Any new content will be added automatically, so you don't need to do anything to receive it.
