To make the most out of Up Learn, it’s important to stay focused when completing any activities. Paying attention to each lesson from start to finish and giving every quiz question your best shot are all you need to do 💪

Why don’t I need to make notes?

Focusing beats note-taking in Up Learn

Trying to take notes and watch the video at the same time can be distracting and cause you to miss important information! It's important to stay focused and give your full attention while using Up Learn, putting in your best effort to answer every question correctly while fully engaging with the videos 🎯

The videos summarise all the key information you need, and using our search bar, they’re easy to find again if you need a quick recap 🔎

Trust the algorithm

The system is designed to guide you back to the areas where you need more practice. The Strengthen and Refresh Knowledge features ensure you revisit questions you've struggled with or haven't attempted in a while 🔄

Redo these questions and topics at the exact moment when it will help you most! 💡

What if I want to make notes anyway?

If you really, really want to take notes or make flashcards, we recommend watching the video in full, giving it your focused attention, and then writing down a few key points once the video is finished. Studies show this approach is much more effective than jotting down notes while watching 🤓

Taking notes for summaries

Summary videos are different from our detailed ones - they cover a lot in a short time! The best way to approach these is to pause the video and make a note of any topics you want to revisit. This way, you’re not splitting your attention between the video and your notes ✍️
