If your school connects its Management Information System (MIS) to Up Learn via Wonde, we’ll need access to specific student and staff data. This helps us accurately create and maintain user accounts.
What data do you access?
Through Wonde, we access the following data:
🏫 Classes: To create the right classes in Up Learn and tell year
groups apart (academic year, class code, name, and subject)
🧑🏫 Employees: To create staff accounts and confirm who is currently
teaching at the school (name, email address, contact and employment details)
👥 Groups: To sync groups that sit outside timetabled classes, such as
intervention groups (name, description, codes, type, and division)
📖 Subjects: To apply the right Up Learn courses to each class (subject code and active status)
🧒 Students: To create student accounts, identify each student uniquely
and place them in the right key stage (name, UPN, email address, admission date, contact details, current year, and education information)
⬅️ Leavers: To confirm who has left, and to reach students after they
leave - on results day, for example (name, email address, and leaving date)
🌟 Contacts (OPTIONAL): Requested only where your school opts in, so Up Learn can reach parents and guardians. Court order data means a contact
whose access is restricted is never synced (Contacts, Details, Forename, Surname, Email, Email notification, Parental responsibility, Priority, Court order)

Where is this data stored and processed?
We currently cannot restrict data processing to within the EU only.
All personal data processed by third-party providers (sub-processors) is handled in accordance with Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to comply with the Schrems II ruling. We also complete a Transfer Risk Assessment (TRA) for each sub-processor, confirming that the SCCs and UK Addendum provide adequate protection.
