The Engagement tab on the Reports page lets you build a custom view of how your students are engaging with the course, so you can quickly spot students who need support, and celebrate those who are working really hard 🏆
Filter your report by your chosen metrics then choose exactly which engagement data you want to see.
How can I track engagement for a class, teacher, or subject?
Click Filters at the top of the page to focus your report on exactly what you want to see: Class, Teacher, Date range, Subject, or module.
The filters will automatically filter to any classes you are a teacher for ✨
Then click Edit columns to add engagement metrics and choose which activity data shows up in your report:
🎯 Course mastery
📖 Sections mastered
🧠 Memory decay
⏱️ Sections per week
📝 Exam papers completed
📋 Assignments mastered
NOTE: Assignments mastered shows progress on work you've specifically set for your students, while Sections mastered includes any section a student has mastered, whether it was set as an assignment or completed independently.
How do I track engagement for a subset of students?
To get a quick view of a single student, just search their name in the search bar.
For a view of more students, click All students in Filters and search for the names of the students you’d like to filter to. Check the box for each name, and only their engagement data will appear 🪄
Save this as a custom report if it’s a group of students you track often.
How do I find students within a specific engagement range?
Next to metrics like Sections mastered and Memory decay, you can enter a minimum and maximum value to narrow your report down to students who fall within that range.
For example, entering 70 in the min field for Sections mastered will show only students who have mastered 70 or more sections.
💡 Top tip: Use min and max together to quickly find students within a specific range - for example, students with high memory decay but low sections mastered, who might need extra support.
How do I save or share my report?
Once you've built a report you'll want to come back to, click Save report so you don't have to reapply your filters and columns next time.
