Your Up Score is your ultimate measure of success - boost it consistently, and you’ll be A*/A ready in no time! 🌟 Depending on your current Up Score, there are plenty of ways to level up.

Your Up Score is our way of measuring how much of the course you’ve mastered 🧙‍♂️ It’s calculated based on the amount of content you’ve completed, the number of quiz questions you’re answering correctly, and your performance in exam papers.

Keeping an eye on your Up Score is the best way to track your progress and see how well you’re mastering the course! 🚀

The goal? Hit 90% or higher by the time of your exam, and you’ll be A/A* ready 💪

You’ll find your Up Score on the courses page, and within each course. You want each module and your overall Up Score to be 90% by the time of your exam 💡

Completing and improving your marks for activities and lessons will increase your Up Score. This includes:

📹 Completing video lessons

✅ Getting quiz answers correct

💪 Using Strengthen and Refresh Knowledge

📄 Tackling exam papers

🔃 Redoing papers and improving your marks

Some content like summaries and exam practice by topic are great for revision but don’t contribute to your Up Score 🚨

Having or doing any of the following might also lower your Up Score or pull it down:

🚫 Not using Up Learn regularly

⚠️ Having sections you haven’t started working on yet

❌ Incorrect quiz answers

⏩ Skipping Strengthening sessions

📉 Low exam paper marks

Your section scores are the best measure of how well you have understood a section or topic 💡 We use them, together with your exam paper and exam question scores, to calculate your overall Up Score.

To get to a 90% Up Score, you want your section scores to either be high/outstanding, or at 9/10 bars - maximum green! 💚 Once you’ve completed all the lessons in a section, if you’re not quite at that level yet, use the Strengthen button to improve that section’s score. Then use Refresh Knowledge to increase your section scores across the course 🪄

To make the biggest gains, focus on completing the course content by watching video lessons and tackling sections you haven’t started yet. Use section quizzes and pre-video quizzes to tick off content you are already confident with! ✅

Once you’re above 50%, start mixing in some exam practice questions alongside video lessons to level up even faster 👌

To push past this stage, start practising exam papers to see how your knowledge translates into real questions. Use the Strengthen and Refresh Knowledge tools to boost weaker sections and reinforce your overall understanding. If there are any sections you haven’t started yet, now is the time to get going on them💡

Remember, your Up Score won’t go beyond 60% without starting exam papers!

From here, it’s all about fine-tuning. Strengthen any topics where your bars or scores aren’t fully green and use the Refresh Knowledge tool to sharpen your understanding across the whole course 🤯

Redo exam papers where your scores are lower than your overall Up Score to help you reach your full potential!

💪 Strengthen: Focuses on specific topics. It reviews your progress in that section and guides you to the lessons you need most. Strengthen any topics with low scores until the bars are fully green.

🔄 Refresh Knowledge: This button takes you to Spaced Practice Quizzes, pulling questions from across the course that you need to revisit - either ones that you previously answered incorrectly or that you haven’t seen in a while. Perfect for keeping your scores up across the whole course! 🙌
