Some students might still see green progress bars on their course for now. All students will have access to the new section scores and updated platform features by 1 September ๐Ÿ’ก

Your Up Score is your ultimate measure of success - boost it consistently, and youโ€™ll be A*/A ready in no time! ๐ŸŒŸ Depending on your current Up Score, there are plenty of ways to level up.

What is Up Score?

Your Up Score shows how much of the course youโ€™ve mastered. It takes into account the content youโ€™ve completed, your quiz performance, and your results in exam papers. Keeping an eye on it is the best way to track your progress and see how exam-ready you are ๐Ÿš€

The goal? Aim for 90% or higher by your exam, and youโ€™ll be firmly on track for an A*/A ๐ŸŒŸ

Where can I find my Up Score?

Youโ€™ll see your Up Score on the courses page (overall score) and within each course (individual module scores). By exam day, youโ€™ll want each module and your overall score to be at 90% or above ๐Ÿ’ก.

What increases Up Score?

Completing and improving your work in activities and lessons will push your Up Score higher. This includes:

๐Ÿ“น Completing video lessons

โœ… Getting quiz answers correct

๐Ÿ’ช Using Strengthen to improve section scores

๐ŸŒŸ Using Refresh Knowledge to combat memory decay

๐Ÿ“„ Tackling exam papers

๐Ÿ”ƒ Redoing exam papers and improving your marks

What will decrease Up Score?

Having or doing any of the following might also lower your Up Score or pull it down:

๐Ÿšซ Not using Up Learn regularly

โš ๏ธ Having sections you havenโ€™t started working on yet

โŒ Incorrect quiz answers

๐Ÿ“‰ Low exam paper marks

๐Ÿง  Memory decay

Some content like summaries and exam practice by topic are great for revision but donโ€™t contribute to your Up Score ๐Ÿšจ

How do section scores contribute to Up Score?

Your section scores are the best measure of how well you have understood a section or topic - 90% and a green ring means you're acing that section!๐Ÿ’ก

These scores, together with your exam paper and exam question results, combine to make up your overall Up Score.

To reach 90% Up Score, youโ€™ll want each section score in the green zone and at 90% - think solid green rings ๐Ÿ’š

When should I use Strengthen?

Strengthen is designed to help you revisit questions you got wrong. Once youโ€™ve finished a section, use it to push your score into the green โœ…

Each time you correct a question, your Up Score climbs higher, helping you reach that 90% target ๐Ÿ”ฅ

When should I use Refresh Knowledge?

Refresh Knowledge brings back questions from across the course that you havenโ€™t seen in a while. This prevents memory decay and keeps your learning strong over time.

Use it regularly will keep decay down and your scores up! ๐ŸŽ‰

What should I do to increase my Up Score?

Get going with 0-50% Up Score

๐Ÿ“– Use section and knowledge check quizzes to tick off content youโ€™re confident with

๐Ÿ“– Work through as many new sections as possible

๐Ÿ“– Strengthen your sections to green

Unlock higher scores at 50-60% Up Score

๐Ÿ“ Start tackling exam papers

๐Ÿ“ Smash through some Exam Questions

Remember, your Up Score wonโ€™t go beyond 60% without starting exam papers!

Keep going at 60%+ Up Score

โœ… Work through any sections you havenโ€™t started or completed (including Exam Questions)

โœ… Strengthen to get all sections to green

โœ… Use Refresh Knowledge to combat memory decay

Fine-tune at 80%+ Up Score

๐Ÿ’ช Re-do exam papers with lower scores
