How does my school set up their data with Up Learn?

If you're new to Up Learn, or returning after the summer break, you can onboard students, teachers, and classes in bulk using either Wonde or a CSV file 🎓

Your data manager will have confirmed your preferred method (Wonde or CSV) with your Up Learn Success Manager. Keep class and student information automatically synchronised with your school’s MIS - we partner with Wonde to enable this functionality. In some cases, we can support manually managing data with CSVs👌

Onboarding with Wonde

My school is new to Up Learn

Wonde is a secure tool that syncs directly with your school’s MIS, allowing for live updates to your student, teacher, and class data on Up Learn.

To get your school set up and integrated, follow these steps.

🛠️ Set up Wonde access

  • Go to the Wonde portal at Wonde.

  • Log in with your credentials. If you don’t have access, please contact your school’s IT Department.

📁 Prepare your MIS data

  • Make sure your class and student data in your school’s MIS (Management Information System) is current and accurate.

  • Verify student details such as email addresses, names, year groups, and class codes.

Confirm connection with Wonde

  • After logging in, navigate to the ‘Approvals’ section.

  • Confirm the data categories (e.g., Students, Classes, Teachers) Up Learn needs access to.

  • Confirm the approval process. This will then inform Up Learn you are ready to sync.

📝 Share your classes

  • We'll send your Up Learn lead a form to fill out, to ensure we're uploading your classes only when they’re ready.

🔍 Verification

  • Once you have approved access and send your classes, we will action the configuration over a 48 hour period.

📢 Final updates

  • Your Success Manager will confirm your launch, and flag if there's any anomalies within your MIS.

Once onboarded, any class changes (e.g. students switching subjects or joining the school) will automatically update via your MIS 🎯

My school is returning to Up Learn

If you’ve used Up Learn before:

📁 Prepare your MIS data – Make sure student details and class codes are current and correct.

Check Wonde permissions – Confirm your existing permissions are still active.

📝 Share your classes – We'll send your Up Learn lead a form to fill out, to ensure we're uploading your classes only when they’re ready.

🔍 Verification – Once we have confirmation your data is ready to go, we’ll get all your classes onboarded.

📢 Final updates – Your Success Manager will confirm your launch, and flag if there's any anomalies within your MIS.

Once onboarded, any class changes (e.g. students switching subjects or joining the school) will automatically update via your MIS 🎯

Onboarding with a CSV file

If you prefer not to use Wonde, in some cases we can onboard manually by uploading a CSV (comma-separated values) spreadsheet.

Here’s how:

📃 Fill in the CSV template – Add each student’s details for every course they need access to.

📩 Upload your CSV file – Submit it via the onboarding form from your Customer Success Manager.

Accounts will be created – On your launch date, we’ll create the accounts and send welcome emails from [email protected].

Need to add a new class later? Just send us a CSV file of the new class to [email protected] and we’ll take care of the rest. Individual students can be added through your dashboard 📨
