Tracking your hours helps you see the time you’re putting into your studies. When combined with your Up Score, it gives you a clear picture of your time on Up Learn 📈

What contributes to my time spent?

Your hours reflect the actual time you’ve actively spent learning on the platform.

Time is automatically tracked in the background whenever you’re working through activities. This gives you a clear and accurate record of your study hours⏱️

You earn hours by:

Completing video lessons in full

⭐ Watching summaries

⭐ Completing progress and section quizzes

⭐ Attempting Exam questions

⭐ Using Refresh Knowledge and Strengthen

You won’t gain any time if you don’t fully complete a video or quiz, so make sure you tick off each activity! ✅This ensures we accurately reflect your study time on the platform.

What doesn’t contribute to my time spent?

The following won’t add to your hours spent on Up Learn:

❌ Not fully completing an activity

Exam Papers (these currently don’t count towards hours, but you’ll still earn XP)

❌ Time spent navigating around the platform

Any tea or coffee breaks ☕️

If you start watching a video but don't finish it, the time won't be counted 📹

How can I track the time I’ve spent?

Your weekly hours appear on your Courses page, just above your modules.

🔎 This gives you a quick snapshot of how much time and effort you’ve put in each week.

⏰ Your hours reset every Monday (Monday–Sunday cycle)

👉 To understand your progress, focus on your Up Score. Your hours show effort and time, but your Up Score is the best measure of mastery and exam readiness 🎯

How quickly will my hours update?

Study hours update almost instantly! 🙌 While your hours usually update and appear on your Courses page right away, there can occasionally be short delays in logging study activities. These delays typically resolve quickly and don’t affect your long-term tracking 🎯
