Your Up Score is your ultimate measure of success - boost it consistently, and you’ll be 8/9 ready in no time! Depending on your current Up Score, there are plenty of ways to level up 📈

What is Up Score?

Your Up Score shows how much of the course you’ve mastered. It takes into account the content you’ve completed and your quiz performance. Keeping an eye on it is the best way to track your progress and see how exam-ready you are 🚀

The goal? Aim for 90% or higher by your exam, and you’ll be firmly on track for an 8/9 💪

Where can I find my Up Score?

You’ll see your Up Score on the courses page (overall score) and within each course (individual module scores). By exam day, you’ll want each module and your overall score to be at 90% or above 💡

What increases Up Score?

Completing and improving your work in activities and lessons will push your Up Score higher. This includes:

📝 Doing section quizzes

📹 Completing video lessons

✅ Getting quiz answers correct

💪 Using Strengthen to improve section scores

🌟 Using Refresh Knowledge to combat memory decay

What will decrease Up Score?

Having or doing any of the following might also lower your Up Score or pull it down:

🚫 Not using Up Learn regularly

⚠️ Having sections you haven’t started working on yet

❌ Incorrect quiz answers

🧠 Memory decay

Content like summaries are great for revision but don’t contribute to your Up Score 🚨

How do section scores contribute to Up Score?

Each section of your course has a ring showing how accurate your answers have been:

🔴 Red = Less than 50% correct

🟡 Amber = 50–79% correct

🟢 Green = 80%+ correct

All your section scores combined make up your overall Up Score. To reach 90% Up Score, you’ll want each ring in the green zone and your section score at 90% - think solid green rings 💚

When should I use Strengthen?

Strengthen is designed to help you revisit questions you got wrong. Once you’ve finished a section, use it to push your score into the green ✅

Each time you correct a question, your Up Score climbs higher, helping you reach that 90% target 🔥

When should I use Refresh Knowledge?

Refresh Knowledge brings back questions from across the course that you haven’t seen in a while. This prevents memory decay and keeps your learning strong over time.

Using it regularly will keep decay down and your scores up! 🎉

What should I do to increase my Up Score?

Get going

📖 Use section quizzes to tick off what you already know

📖 Watch detailed videos to learn content from scratch - great for staying ahead at school!

📖 Complete exam-style quizzes as you progress through the course

Keep going

✅ Use Strengthen to correct any incorrect answers and get all sections to green

✅ Use Refresh Knowledge to fight memory decay and keep your quiz count at 0!

How are Up Score goals different between foundation and higher tier?

If you’re sitting the Higher Tier exam, you can achieve a maximum Up Score of 100%. Aiming for 90% or above will put you in a great position for the highest exam marks and also makes you eligible for the money-back guarantee ✅

For Foundation Tier students, aiming for 90% Up Score across all Foundation sections is a strong target. Even if you’re closer to 80%, that still shows a good grasp of the key ideas and is a solid score to go into the exam with!

While Foundation Tier students aren’t eligible for the money-back guarantee, reaching 90% Up Score is a really good sign that you’re well prepared and ready to perform confidently in your exams 💪

Use the toggle in the top right of your course overview page to choose Foundation Tier or Higher Tier 💡
