Strengthen is the key to improving section scores 🔑
Your section score shows how much of a topic you've truly mastered, and the Strengthen button is your fastest route to turn it fully green. We’ll walk you through how the Strengthen tool works, how to spot the best sections to focus on, and how upping your section scores helps boost your overall Up Score 🌟
How does Strengthening work?
You’ll see the Strengthen button at the top of the page when you go into a section.
When you click it:
📝 You’ll get a quiz made up of questions from that section that you previously answered incorrectly
✅ Each time you answer one correctly, your section score will increase
🔄 If you get a question wrong, it’ll reappear in your Strengthen quiz until you answer it correctly. Only correct answers boost your score 💪
Use Strengthen to revisit any questions you got wrong and turn your rings green, then use Refresh Knowledge to get them back to green once memory decay sets in!
Pro tip: Getting answers right when redoing lessons is really important! Your score won’t improve if you Strengthen and answer incorrectly, so keep going until you get them right - you only need to answer each question correctly once 🙌
How do I know which sections to Strengthen?
Check your course overview. Each section has a coloured progress ring showing your progress:
🔴🟠 Red or Amber ring: You’ve started but haven’t answered all questions correctly yet. Time to Strengthen and turn it green — just get each question right once 💪
💔 Broken ring: A broken ring (red, amber, or even green) means the section isn’t fully complete. You might have skipped a video or missed a quiz. Go back and finish everything for a solid ring ✅
Your goal is a solid green ring for every section. That means you’ve completed it, mastered the questions, and nailed the topic - setting you up for top grades 🎯
We'll notify you there's nothing left to Strengthen once you have:
✅ Completed all available activities
✅ Correctly answered all questions at least once
If your score still isn't green and there's nothing left to Strengthen, you need to do some Refresh Knowledge to counteract memory decay on that section 💡
Use Refresh Knowledge to answer questions correctly and counteract this natural learning process 💪
Tip: Click ‘Continue Strengthening’ (if you see it) to redo any incorrect answers from the video questions, not just the progress quizzes! 📹
How does Strengthening affect my Up Score?
Improving your section scores is key to a high overall Up Score 🔑
Low section scores will pull your Up Score down, so use Strengthening to correct your answers and increase your scores!
If you've completed all sections available for Strengthening, focus on other strategies to improve your Up Score:
